Missing man at Myrtleford

The Police have been conducting a search for an elderly Italian man in the Myrtleford area.

The missing man was last seen leaving the Myrtleford Soccer Club in Barton Street.  The missing man is described as frail and and suffers from dementia.

After the man went missing family members, friends and soccer club members conducted a search for him.

Police and State Emergency Service personnel took over the search for the man.

The search was scaled down during the night with police from Myrtleford and Wangaratta continuing patrols for the missing man.

Police from the Search and Rescue Squad have been advised and will join the search later this morning.

The search will be resumed about 7.00 am.

Police said the weather in the area would be cold overnight.

The missing man is described as 168cm tall, thin build, grey balding hair, wearing navy blue track suit pants with a white stripe and black stripe, dark T shirt and snealers.

The Border Mail reports that Luigi Arman, 78, was found in Tarrangower Court, Myrtleford, at 6.55am.

He was about 7km east of the McGeehan Street industrial area where he was last seen at 4.30pm yesterday.  Mr Arman was taken for a medical check-up after being located this morning.
