Who struck the match on the refugee boat…

with 2 comments

What a lovely stuff up with the explosion on board the refugee boat. What do you make of the W.A.Premier’s claim that petrol was poured over the boat … whilst Navy personnel were on board and in charge of the situation. There is a lot that they are not telling us.

With the government in damage control, everyone is trying to hush up the speculation of sabotage but by whom? The refugees or the Navy? Having declared the boat safe against sabotage, the Australian navy will be put under intense scrutiny.

Update: Prime Minister Kevin Rudd says those involved in people smuggling should ‘rot in hell’. – when did people smuggling get into this disaster? Isn’t that pre-empting the enquiry by our PM? It it just ranother diversion from the facts?

  1. Barnett’s claims were completely out of line and the response from the rat-bag right has been despicable. I think it’s best to wait until the enquiry is finished before making any claims.

You’d think that the Premier of WA would remember the disaster on the HMAS Westralia showed that accidents can happen in ships engine rooms.

  2. Whilst the rat-bag right has claimed that the Asylum boat tradgedy(sic) renews debate, the Refugee Council of Australia fueled the flames stating it’s often the case that asylum-seekers sent back to their home countries are killed after returning. It appears the debate has started
