What the local Bloggers posted yesterday

  • …to push for the re opening of the Glenrowan Railway Station as part of the $500 million upgrade of the North East Victoria Railway from Seymour to Wodonga.
  • I’m taking another temporary break from blogging as of today. I’ve got a lot of important things to do that I’ve been putting off for too long, so I won’t be writing any new posts for a while. Well, of course I’ll make the odd comment and I WILL write a new post if something serious (or funny) enough comes along.
  • If the future of the Liberals is with Peter Costello as leader, I fear they may be doomed to opposition for many years. The persistent smirk on Mr Costello’s face comes across to me as an arrogance that he really believes that he is the saviour’ and that he is more important than the party or its policies.

  1. I think Costello is just slinking around waiting for Turnbull to lose the next election – then he’ll ‘pounce’ (if you can imagine him pouncing – he’ll want to be asked).

In hindsight, his election night 07 resigning-frmn-public-life speech was a ploy. He didn’t want the job as opposition leader then knowing full well he’d (a) struggle to hold it to the next election and (b) even if he held it, he’d lose the next election.

Maybe the smirking, sneering little school boy isn’t as stupid as we thought he was. But he’s just as gutless and sneaky!

  2. The Liberals WILL beg him too, in my opinion Greg, after Turnbull loses the 2010 election. Poor Malc has not lived up to expectations and has proven that one-man-bands are not as well liked as they used to be. He joined the wrong party and I think he knows it. Great talent wasted.
