Vic communities told to consider evacuating

DSE splokesman Lee Miezis says residents who want to leave should do so tonight because there is limited road access out of the area.

We may think we have seen it all with looters, scam artists, fraudulent emergency funding applications and money collection tin thieves after the ‘Black Saturday’ fires, but have we?”

No doubt, the DSE advice to those contemplating leaving will have been heeded by your friendly, neighbourhood burglar lowlife, who will be getting plenty of rest tonight in anticipation of such easy targets available tomorrow.

  1. Greg, I’m glad your daughter has heeded the advice and decided to leave. This ‘summer from hell’ is not over yet. I’m also glad the fire authorities have recognised the failure of their earlier advices and are now pinpointing areas at risk and telling people to leave a hell of a lot earlier than they were.
