What the local Blogs posted yesterday

  • Study suggests we’re beyond the point of no return
I generally steer well away from those debates raging arguments about climate change that seem to be going on everywhere you look. I find there’s equal fanaticism on both sides, which is a sure sign that no one really knows what they’re talking about.
  • Citizens Electoral Council leader Craig Isherwood has slammed Kevin Rudd’s proposal to make the Government the “lender of last resort” to Australian corporations, which this year face $75 billion worth of foreign loans falling due that they can’t repay.
  • And now we’re celebrating more than two hundred years,
of the white man’s joy and the black man’s tears,we took away their land,
    left ‘em broken and weak,
then we gave ‘em a god who said,
    “turn the other cheek”
  • Yet another social networking site, you can follow me at Brightkite.
There are two things it has going for it, they do the SMS service in Australia (Twitter still hasn’t rolled it out in Australia), and the whole maps integration angle is a bit of fun.
