SCIENTISTS are trying to stop the most powerful experiment ever – saying the black holes it will create could destroy the world. Dubbed by some the Doomsday test, it will be carried out next week in the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), located 300ft underground near the French-Swiss border. They fear the LHC experimenters are tinkering with the unknown and putting mankind — and our whole planet — at risk.

In total 20,000 rainbow trout and 50,000 brown trout will be released into the weir just in time for the 2008-9 trout season.  Now, we can’t have our riverine environment being destroyed by these ‘alien’ creatures from the 40th parallel above the equator so we’ll all have to tackle up and do our darnedest to catch them all.  Don’t forget to renew your angling license.
