Temporary road closure for Bunston’s Road, Tolmie
As part of a road side management strategy, Mansfield Shire Council has arranged for the woodchipping of material that has been stockpiled following the clean up of trees etc that arose from storm damage and will require the closure of the road to through traffic for operational reasons on 11th and 12th November between 9am and 3pm.
Access to and from properties in the area will be possible but may be subject to delays for short periods when the equipment is in your immediate area. Appropriate signage will be displayed at these times. Should you require any additional information please contact Greg Cameron on 5775 8536.
Free computers for community groups
Nationals Member for Benalla, Bill Sykes is encouraging not-for-profit community groups in the Benalla Electorate to participate in round five of the Joint Community Computer Project.
“I’m delighted to once again have on offer 15 computers for distribution through the program. These computers have been made available through the generosity of an anonymous Benalla organisation that has recently upgraded their computer system”, he said.
Community groups interested in applying for a computer are asked to write a letter addressed to the Joint Community Computer Project, 2/55 Carrier Street, Benalla 3672 stating the reasons why they would benefit from the project. Vichealth Active Club Grant for 2008/09
The Nationals Member for Benalla, Bill Sykes, informs groups in the Benalla Electorate that applications for the VicHealth 2008/09 Active Club Grant are now open. Grants of up to $2500 are available to local sporting clubs, regional sporting leagues, associations and local active recreation clubs across Victoria.
